VOLVO TRUCKS DECLARE WAR
Bass Lake Lodge – The team from VOLVO Trucks literally declared war against each other as they headed into the paintball field at the conference and team building venue Bass Lake Lodge north of Pretoria.
Mark Erasmus, marketing manager VOLVO Trucks, pointed out that there was no need for holding back and that the field is open for all to shoot who they want as many times as they want as long as they stick to the rules of Paintball. These words were just what his team wanted to hear and Mark got shot on several occasions during the afternoon’s games.
As the battle for the flag raged on between the teams it was hilarious to hear some of the words and comments that came from the paintball field as one of the participants got shot at that specific time. We would love to mention these comments but since we are a family friendly website we can’t put these words in print.
I must say that the VOLVO Truck team work just as hard as what they play. This came to light as one of the team members shouted during one of the games: “Stop the war! I need to take this call!”
With the last game of last man standing, only a few good men could muster up the courage and energy to see who will be the winner. With guns loaded, dirty overalls and a lot of courage the eight men walked into the field. The battle was quick and decisive as Mark came out victorious as the last man standing.
After all the action the participant could get cleaned up in the comfort of their luxury rooms. With Gretha Botes at the helm of the Bass Lake Lodge team all the participants now knew they could relax and enjoy a cold beverage around the fire that was already going for their “braai” the evening.
The VOLVO Truck team definitely proved that they can take on any one in paintball and just the same VOLVO Truck can take on any of the other truck manufacturers in the world.
A great day for paintball and definitely a great team that did it!
